Quand les fantômes des Frères de tueur Scoleri se manifestent à la salle d'audience, le juge est forcé à enlever l'ordonnance restrictive contre les gars donc ils peuvent mettre les Frères de Scoleri dans un piège de fantôme. Après que cela, Peter, Rayon, Egon et Winston rouvrent Ghostbusters et assistant Jack Hardemeyer de maire essaie de les ralentir en bas n'importe quelle façon qu'il peut, parce qu'il croit que les Ghostbusters sont des fraudes qui blessera les chances du maire de devenir le gouverneur de New York. Le Ghostbusters et leur avocat, Louis Tully, refusent d'être arrêtés par Jack. Le maire veut le Ghostbusters sur le travail et quand le maire entend dire que Jack avait le Ghostbusters recommandé l'hôpital psychiatrique Parkview, il congédie Jack et fait libérer le Ghostbusters pour essayer de sauver Oscar de Vigo et Vigo a l'intention de le faire si dur que possible pour le Ghostbusters.
