Giallo

In Torino, Celine, an American model, is abducted by a taxi driver while en route home to meet her sister Linda, visiting at her apartment. The next morning, Linda reports that Celine is missing – the sergeant in charge directs her to F.B.I. agent Inspector Enzo Avolfi. He’s from the Special New York City Department investigating a serial-killer that kidnaps foreigners to destroy their beauty. When a Japanese woman is found at nearby a fountain, Enzo and Linda find that the girl is calling the abductor’s skin is “Yellow” in color and Linda concludes that the guy might have jaundice. They go to the Policlinic di Torino to find the killer.

The Butcher

Merle finds himself in the cross-fire of a gang war, with all the guns aimed at him. It’s an all-out race to win his freedom, win the girl and win redemption. They tried to bury him twice, but twice he got away. Underestimating Merle Hench is their biggest mistake and their final career move.

Valley Girl

Julie Richman is a sweet-natured, if shallow, Valley Girl. After breaking up with her jerk boyfriend Tommy, she is at her friend Suzi’s party (“the social event of the season”) when two boys from Hollywood crash the scene. One of them, the sensitive and adventurous Randy, is immediately smitten with Julie, and she with him. Julie’s friends, however, are not smitten with Randy purely because he is from “Holly-weird” and want Julie to dump Randy and get back together with Tommy. Julie must decide which is more important: her heart and the boy she loves, or the approval of her friends. The Big Chill

A group of friends who attended the University of Michigan together in the 1960′s convene for the funeral of one from their group, Alex, who committed suicide. The group, each now in their thirties, have kept in touch over the years, but have drifted somewhat apart as their respective lives changed. Their individual ideals have also changed from their socially conscious and radical days in college, to where they mostly now live outwardly comfortable and financially lucrative lives. With Alex’s young and socially naive girlfriend, Chloe, added to the mix, the friends spend the weekend together at married couple Harold and Sarah’s house in South Carolina following the funeral. Especially in light of Alex’s suicide, the friends discuss their lives and collective relationships with each other, then and now.
