| The film concentrates on an old man reading a history to an old woman in a retirement home. The history which he reads follows two young lovers called ally Hamilton and Noah Calhoun, who meet one evening in a carnival. But they are separated by the parents of Ally who dissaprove the family not rich in Noah and make move back Ally. Having waited from Noah to write him for several years, Ally meets and gets engaged to a nice young soldier called Lon. Alloy, then, with his love for Noah always living, master key at home of 200 years of Noah whom it restored for her, "to see if it is rather well". It is obvious that they still have feelings the one as other one and Ally must choose between his fiancé and his first love.
