| John Russell, a composer and music professor, loses his wife and daughter in a tragic accident. Seeking solace, he moves into an old mansion unoccupied for twelve years. But a child-like presence seems to be sharing the house, and trying to share its secrets, with him. | Morgan Van player runs a little card game in town, but one night things get out of hand. A foreign trying to cheat amateurishly, and while Morgan is trying to stop his fellow actors string him up. The player left the city but returns when he heard that other players are killed one by one. It could be that someone will soon be after him too.
