| Jayne and Laura are about to take on the first man they just might not be able to handle: their seventy-something-year-old father Joe. Dutiful daughters returning to the house they grew up in, Jayne and Laura are forced to take a closer look at their own not-so-perfect lives while dodging childhood memories. Laura suspects that Joe needs full-time care, but Jayne hopes that their father's condition isn't that serious. Joe is still singing and playing his old guitar, and the lively widower even has a new "ladyfriend," shameless and sassy Shelly. But as the visible moments of their father's impending senility increase, so do the dysfunctional family dynamics. | In Los Angeles, the loneliness and efficient technical writer Kenneth Winslow (Desmond Harrington) is challenged to write three long technical manuals in a very short period. His boss Novak (Rip Torn) assigns the temporary typist Lisa Bellmer (Melissa Sagemiller) to help him in the task. In the office, Kenneth's colleagues show him an expensive rubber sex doll called "Nikki" in Internet, and Kenneth decides to buy it. When Nikki is delivered, the snoopy manager of his building becomes curious with the huge package. Kenneth reads Nikki's manual and uses the image of Lisa to give a sort of "personality" to the doll and he starts practicing kink sex and becomes obsessed with Nikki. Meanwhile, Lisa feels out of place in the office, Kenneth helps her and they get close to each other, having a love affair and the disturbed Kenneth gets rid off the doll. RAdm Graham (Den), despite heavy lobbying of the committee and several examples of Dodge's unusual and non-conformist approach to command, fails to convince the committee to not award him his own command. Dodge's command, however, is of the newly recommissioned, and only diesel sub in the US Fleet, the USS Stingray. His first orders are to clean up and take out the Stingray, with the worst misfits for a crew that RAdm Graham could find, and complete a 2-part war game. La CBS, proprietaria del network televisivo, decide all'ultimo momento di non trasmettere l'intervista, per timore di eventuali azioni legali da parte delle industrie del tabacco. Ma Bergman non si arrende e torna alla carica sulla carta stampata. Il caso finisce al Congresso americano che, nell'autunno del 1999, ratifica un accordo col quale i produttori di sigarette dovranno indennizzare gli stati che hanno fatto loro causa con la cifra di 246 miliardi di dollari. | Omni Consumer Products (OCP) begins its plan for the creation of Delta City. As part of this program, a special Rehab squad leaded by Commander Paul McDaggett is deployed as they evacuate the city in a forced manner tearing down part of the city. In this chaos, a young girl named Nikko is left alone and picked up by a group of citizens joining together to strike on OCP, first raiding a Police Department Armory Warehouse. Murphy is sent to the chase of this group, but he eventually ignored the order when he received a back up call from Anne Lewis and the other officers who were attacked by a group of Cyber Punks. This violation leads to the decision of finally cutting Murphy´s past memories for good, as he finds himself between the line of Law Enforcement and Popular Opinion when the law is beginning to be corrupted, and he is betrayed by the law he sought to uphold when Lewis is killed, and he is left for dead... all of this thanks to Directive 4: "Any attempt to arrest an officer of OCP results in Shut Down." At the same time, the new younger CEO of OCP begins relations with a Japanese Cybernetics Corporation leaded by a man named Kanemitsu for Monetary support, leading into the deployment of the advanced Android Otomo, a fully skilled Ninja with full human appearance, but still a machine. Slowly as all of Detroit joins the Motor City´s cause, including the Police Department, McDaggett sees use for the arrested criminals to create his own army of criminals to strike down the City´s militia once and for all.
