Truman Capote wrote the 'material literature novel' by which the film is pulled, the craft of the novelist using to make reality. This was the reality in two a. M. on the 15th of November, 1959 in the rural town of Holcomb, Kansas, became four members of the mess family from her sleep wachgerüttelt, bound and, strangled and then brutally murdered from two unknown attackers. After the arrest latter, condemning and the custody before the implementation, investigated Capote to dig out the case thoroughly, spent weeks, with the prisoners, Perry Smith and Richard Hickock, the juror, the police, to the friends and the neighbours speaking, trying, why such an unfeeling action was committed, and how the answer of the society could have been.
