| The track of the future of Francesca Johnson seems intended when an unexpected fork in the road makes it call into question every to which it had come to expect from life. While her husband and children are far in the state fair of Iowa in Summer, 1965, Robert Kincaid finds Johnson's farm incidentally and asks Francesca for directions the Bridge of Rosamunde. He explains that he is on the duty of the national Geographical magazine to take photos of the bridges of County of Madison. She agrees to show her in bridges and begins so the bitter-sweet and very too short novel of her life. By the pain of separation of her secret love and desolate isolation she feels as the details of her life use her, she writes history down of this link of four days in a newspaper of 3 volumes. The newspaper is found by her children among its belongings and along the belongings of Robert Kincaid after Francesca died. The message that they take newspapers is one of the hope that they will make what is necessary to find happiness in their lives — what is necessary. Having learnt that burnt Robert Kincaid stays were dispersed by the Bridge of Rosamunde and that their mother asked for a similar disposition for her own ashes, the children have to decide if it is necessary to honour final wishes of their mother or to bury her along their father as the family had planned. Adapted by the novel by Robert Waller, it is the love story which arrives &mdash just being once in life; if you are lucky.
Search keywords
