| During the Napoleonic wars, a British frigate, surprise HMS, and a lot of bigger French battleship, the Acheron, with the bigger fire power, from from the coast of South America stalks near. Russell Crowe brings big intensity to the role of captain Jack Aubrey. Lucky Jack because is expelled to him of his team is well looked by his men who trust him implicitly, even after the first disastrous fight and an obvious personal feud against the French captain. While the marine fight results are quite fantastic, the film is successful because manager Weir decided to build the history to get to know the men who are closed aboard the thick quarters of a small ship, and how they work daily on each other. The officers and the comrades are well-known when the final battle comes. Paul Bettany offers a strong achievement as the surgeon and naturalist who considers the power of his elective life with the quiet behaviour of the scientist. He is the friend of the captain and confidants, two, often violin and Cello-Duette playing together. The frights of the injuries of the war are often included, but are drawn lively in the reactions of the characters.
