| Homer's classic epic poem about the travels of Ulisses after his conquest of Troy is brought to the small screen. However, the gods seize the opportunity to make Odysseus and his crew a domino in their games forcing him to take detours that add years to his trip and throw him into conflict with Circe, the Cyclops, Poseidon, and ultimately to Hades itself. Meanwhile, Odysseus' wife, Penelope, is forced to hold off suitors trying to claim his property in the thought that Odysseus has died. | Hercule Poirot is called to investigate a case for an insurance company as for first of all the body of a dead woman found in a moorland and then an important diamond sent to the company to be assured turns out to be a falsification. Poirot discovers that the diamond was bought by Marshall Arlena for mister Horace Platt y Arlena he is in his honeymoon with his husband and stepdaughter in a hotel of tropical island. He affiliates to them to the island and thinks that each one more begins to hate Arlena for different motives - pushing back to do a stage spectacle, stopping a book, and to have affair with Patrick Redfern, another guest, in the sight full of his shy wife. Then it is an only one time question before Arlena turns out to be dead, strangulated and Poirot must quarrel to whom it is.
