| The standard history of Robin Hood: bad Prince John oppresses the people while the good King Richard is far in the Crusades. Robin steals of the taxes collectors, gains a shot competition to the arch, defeats the Sheriff, and rescues the Servant Marian. In this version, nevertheless, Mel Brooks adds his own personal touch, parodying traditional movies of adventure, movies romances, and the entire idea of men who run about the forests on average.
